Interaction Methods for Smart Glasses
Since the launch of Google Glass in 2014, smart glasses havemainly been designed to supportmicro-interactions. The ultimate goal for them to become an augmented reality interface has not yet been attained due to an encumbrance of controls. Augmented reality involves superimposing interactive computer graphics images onto physical objects in the real world. This survey reviews current research i...
متن کاملExploring Everyday Use Cases for Smart Glasses
Wearable computing in the form of glasses is about to take off as a mass-market phenomenon. However, there is still much to explore on social acceptance of the technology, key use cases, and privacy aspects. In this paper, we describe our study with twelve test participants (n=12) to investigate user perceptions of a wearable eye tracker concept. The study utilizes a method where (imaginary) us...

This report focuses on smart glasses, one of the categories of wearable computing devices which is very present in the media and expected to be a big market in the next years. It analyses the differences from smart glasses to other smart devices, introduces many possible applications for different ...
متن کاملMultimodal Analysis for Universal Smart Room Applications
Abstract This paper presents a multimodal system incorporating smart room technologies (SRT) for conference room applications. Although, the audio-visual analysis requires only rather basic equipment, the system works reliably and supports various applications such as recognizing persons using different modalities, localizating visible speakers, controlling the camera view and summarizing the A...
متن کاملSolfège hand sign recognition with smart glasses
Hand gestures are widely used in music education. The applied gesture set is well defined since the XIX. century and contains a small number of gestures only. We present a fast and robust method for recognizing solfège hand signs with smart glasses in egocentric perspective. Our method achieves above 95% classification rate and close to real time performance running on an unmodified Google Glas...
